DPF/FAP regeneration for diesel engines
Professional service dedicated to diesel engine particulate filters, following an assessment of the filter’s suitability.

The service in plain words.
The diesel particulate filter (DPF, known in French as FAP) traps the soot particles produced by combustion. Over time it fills up: this happens mainly with mostly urban use, at low speed and on short trips, when the filter does not reach the conditions needed to clean itself.
Typical signs and situations
- Engine or particulate filter warning light on
- Loss of power when accelerating
- Strong smell of exhaust gas on start-up
- MFK inspection coming up, or particle value above the limit
We always start with an assessment.
Contact
You describe your vehicle, symptoms and the service you are interested in, by phone, e-mail or form.
Assessment
We check whether the service is suitable for your filter and your case, before going ahead.
Quote
We tell you the costs and timing for your specific case, before you confirm the work.
What we need to know.
- Make, model, year and engine of the vehicle
- Warning lights on and symptoms you notice
- If possible, how long they have been occurring
Clarity above all.
Not all filters can be regenerated. A damaged filter, for example with cracks or melted parts, may not be recoverable: in that case we will tell you. We do not promise guaranteed recovery or universal compatibility, and we cannot guarantee the outcome of an official inspection.
The answers to the most common questions.
Can a filter always be regenerated?
No. Suitability depends on the condition of the filter and on the specific case: a damaged filter, for example one with cracks, may not be regenerable. That is why we assess each case before confirming the work.
How much does the service cost and how long does it take?
It depends on the type of filter and the service requested. Describe your vehicle and the problem: we will reply with a dedicated assessment and quote.
The filter warning light is on: what should I do?
The warning light means the system has detected a fault. Driving for a long time with a clogged filter can make things worse, so it is best to have it assessed. Contact us and describe the warning lights and symptoms.
Will regenerating the filter get me through the MFK?
We cannot guarantee the outcome of an official inspection. Since 2023 the MFK (periodic vehicle inspection) checks the filter of diesel vehicles with a particle measurement: if you have an inspection coming up, contact us for an assessment. Read the guide.
Decarbonisation of the engine assembly.
For diesel engines, decarbonisation of the engine assembly, that is, treatment of carbon deposits, can also be considered. It is decided case by case, depending on the vehicle and its condition.
Diesel and petrol: the same service applies to both types of engine. We do not promise results in terms of consumption, emissions or performance.
