GPF/OPF regeneration for petrol engines
A specific service for petrol engine particulate filters: Gasoline Particulate Filter and Otto Particulate Filter.

The service in plain words.
GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) and OPF (Otto Particulate Filter) are the particulate filters of petrol engines, found on many recent vehicles. As with diesels, they trap the particles produced by combustion and can become clogged over time.
Typical signs and situations
- Engine warning light on
- Loss of power or irregular running
- Faults reported by the vehicle related to exhaust gases
We always start with an assessment.
Contact
You describe your vehicle, symptoms and the service you are interested in, by phone, e-mail or form.
Assessment
We check whether the service is suitable for your filter and your case, before going ahead.
Quote
We tell you the costs and timing for your specific case, before you confirm the work.
What we need to know.
- Make, model, year and engine of the vehicle
- Warning lights on and symptoms you notice
- Approximate mileage and type of use
Clarity above all.
The service is assessed case by case. Not all filters are suitable, and we do not promise guaranteed recovery. Contact us to find out whether your vehicle can be treated.
The answers to the most common questions.
What is the difference between DPF/FAP and GPF/OPF?
DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and FAP (Filtre à Particules) both refer to the particulate filter of diesel engines. GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) and OPF (Otto Particulate Filter) are the particulate filters of petrol engines.
Can a filter always be regenerated?
No. Suitability depends on the condition of the filter and on the specific case: a damaged filter, for example one with cracks, may not be regenerable. That is why we assess each case before confirming the work.
How much does the service cost and how long does it take?
It depends on the type of filter and the service requested. Describe your vehicle and the problem: we will reply with a dedicated assessment and quote.
Decarbonisation of the engine assembly.
For petrol engines, decarbonisation of the engine assembly, that is, treatment of carbon deposits, can also be considered. It is decided case by case, depending on the vehicle and its condition.
Diesel and petrol: the same service applies to both types of engine. We do not promise results in terms of consumption, emissions or performance.
